OUR STORY
We met at law school more than thirty years ago. Her name is Anna. It means Grace. It is true of her.
Some years ago, we found a piece of land. On it, a small vineyard, planted almost thirty years ago. Rare, quiet, and unlike anything else. We were fortunate enough to make it our own. We called it Place of Grace.
We cannot make wine ourselves. But we know someone who can.
He is very good at it. So good that his wines are found across the world. His name is not ours to use, so we simply call him Blank. Though he is often too busy to make wine for others, by a stroke of providence, through a dear friend named Bokkom, he agreed to make wine for us.
When Bokkom delivered our first harvest, Blank was faced with a problem. He did not know what to call the wine. In the end, he simply wrote “The Law” across the barrel.
That is how Law and Grace met, in our small corner of the world. Quietly, unintentionally, and at the right time - much like the wine itself.
But Law and Grace have always belonged together. One without the other is incomplete. As with the Law of the Old Testament and the Grace of the New Testament, they came together perfectly more than two thousand years ago. That coming together revealed the most beautiful picture of all.
Our wine carries that meaning. It is personal to us.
If it holds meaning for others, too, we will be even more blessed.
L’CHAIM!
